What I do at Fresh Energy
How do we quickly and reliably shift from a wholesale energy grid that was designed to work with thermal power plants to one that is designed to only work with renewables and storage? That’s the question I’m working on for Fresh Energy, with a specific focus on Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) and the Southwest Power Pool (SPP).
Who am I?
Prior to joining Fresh Energy in June, 2021, Mike practiced environmental and renewable energy law, with an emphasis on project financing and development. Mike also has an extensive background in international human rights and development, with experience working throughout Eastern Europe and Asia. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Maryland, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
